Google updated their PageRank toolbar today. If you remember, the last PageRank update was about 2 months ago. So, check out the green PageRank toolbar on your browser and find out if you received any updated Google juice or not!

1. arcadevine.com: Stayed PR 2, no update for it. Little disappointing as I was expecting an increase, but anyway.

2. arcadeset.com: Downgraded to PR 1 in this update, was PR 2 before. Very upset about it, do not understand the reason behind its downgrade.

3. playdressupgirl.com: Stayed PR 1, again no update.

4. celebrityon.com: Stayed PR 0 in this update, too!

5. bikeflashgames.com: Updated to PR 1, was PR 0.

6. parkingflashgames.com: Updated to PR 1, was PR 0.

7. drivecargames.com: Updated to PR 1, was PR 0.

8. towerdefensegamer.com: New website only few days old, so still PR N/A.

Overall, I’m not very happy with all these updates. Though PageRank (PR) is not really an essential tool for a website nowadays,…

Posted on : 09-09-2009 | By : Ron | In : Money | Comments : No Comments

In my previous post I wrote about MochiCoins and how the game developers are going to earn more money by this new development. At that time Mochi did not announce any share for the publishers, but they told that they might come up with a suitable agreement between developers and publisher so that these games could be distributed well. Now, few days ago Mochi came up with their revenue share model for MochiCoins enabled games. The main features can be summarized as follows:

Publishers: A publisher will earn 10% of the 1st total funding transaction by a user from the website. If the same publisher buys again later at any other website publishers will get nothing. Also, publishers will get their share only if the user buys coins using a credit card or PayPal account. Publishers are not eligible for any other payment methods. Publisher can earn 10% extra if the user spends…

PHPQA game play count exploitation fix

Posted on : 09-07-2009 | By : Ron | In : PHPQA | Comments : 2 Comments

Few months ago I had a strange problem in my arcade gaming website Arcadevine. One day I was browsing my High Score Games website and accidentally found that the game play count of one game was suddenly increased by thousands in a matter of few seconds. I was very surprised because there was no traffic surge at that particular game page. I checked my server logs and found that my website received very little traffic at that time. I could not explain the problem and thought that probably the script has a bug. Arcadevine was build using PHP-Quick-Arcade script and I asked Jcink who was the creator of the script. He also has no clue of the problem. Anyway, I forgot about the incident until I saw the reoccurrence of the same problem again in a different game. I was confirmed that there must be some problem with the script. I checked all…
